ASSOCIATE DEAN, FACULTY RECRUITMENT & PROFESSOR

Developed and assumed this new recruitment position to resolve a growing gap in faculty talent, establishing processes for attracting top talent, introducing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lens to hiring, and supporting hiring managers 1-on-1 with selection process. While in this role I have project managed the design and deployment of the job application process in the college’s new Workday cloud, directed a brand overhaul for the recruitment process solution, while working actively to fill 63+ specialized faculty positions from a candidate pool of 1,500+, partnering with 50+ hiring managers to manage and advise on the end-to-end candidate evaluation and selection processes.

ASSISTANT DEAN, FACULTY DEVELOPMENT & PROFESSOR

I was chosen to lead the Faculty Center of Teaching & Learning and this opportunity quickly grew into the opportunity to lead the area of Faculty Development at Austin Community College. In this role I have successfully supported college-wide programs such as conference days, general assembly and sabbatical. Our area has developed, implemented and evaluated largescale programming including: Faculty Talent Onboarding, Teaching and Learning Academy, and the Equity Series Certificate. Also offering, faculty consults while collaborating with Faculty and other areas of the college over the years and transitioning all programming to virtual during the pandemic. I have been very intentional by having all development opportunities be grounded in equity, support ACC culture, align with Faculty Values and to include the Faculty voice while supporting Pathway initiatives.

DEPARTMENT CHAIR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

HOSPITALITY, MEETING & EVENT PLANNING AND TOURISM

Working at Austin Community College has been a rewarding role, where I have been able to apply my hospitality operational experience and training skills to developing the future of this industry. In the Chair role a few of my successes are having developed and supported a talented team of faculty, increased enrollment, cultivated community relationships and provided a high quality education for students. I created and maintained a student organization, restructured all degree plans, developed articulation agreements, updated online presence and marketing materials, started an internship abroad program and more. Additionally I maintained active in the college by serving on several committees and participating in many professional development opportunities.

LEADERSHIP AND TRAINING MANAGER GAYLORD NATIONAL RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER

In my role here I assisted in the development, coordination and delivery of the on-boarding experience, and oversaw the Rooms Division by coaching, counseling and developing leaders. I developed and facilitated training programs while managing plans where we successfully increased guest and associate satisfaction scores. I had the unique role of being able to make an impression and impact on each 2,000 STARS that worked at Gaylord National while learning from each of them in the process.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

COURTYARD & FAIRFIELD INN BY MARRIOTT

Upon graduating college I worked at the Fairfield Inn for the Plamondon Companies. Within one year I achieved significant success in increasing associate opinion surveys by over 10% and increasing our guest satisfaction ranking to 110 from 323. I was then promoted to working at the Courtyard where we maintained high QA scores and low turnover while running all hotel operations.
