LEADERSHIP STRENGTHS

Being raised by hard working immigrant parents, being a first generation college student and having worked in a variety of different atmospheres has all been instrumental in shaping my leadership style. Also, I have been very fortunate to work with and be supported by many talented leaders that have inspired me throughout my career.

In addition to being an ESTJ (Extraverted, Observant, Thinking and Judging) through Myers Briggs, below are my top 5 leadership themes from the Strength Finders assessment by Gallup.

My Style: Skills

ACHIEVER

Being highly proficient is a priority for me and I take great satisfaction being busy and productive. I tend to find work pleasurable and possess the physical and mental endurance to withstand hardships as well as stress. I link together facts, incidents, conversations or available resources to reach a goal. I devote energies to pinpointing what makes people special and unique.

ARRANGER

By nature I rely on diverse viewpoints of teammates to spark conversations that produce exciting ideas and will partner with individuals who possess talents I lack. I like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity. I aspire to commonly inspire my teammates to be as enthused as I am about various jobs, opportunities, events, causes, or ideas.

RELATOR

I enjoy working with others to achieve a goal and am comfortable being honest about myself with others.  I can openly acknowledge my mistakes and shortcomings. I routinely give my team everything I can in terms of talent, skill, energy, knowledge, or time. A variety of people will ask for my opinions and suggestions, as I enjoy helping others to grasp elaborate or complicated ideas or processes in simplistic ways. I strive to honor everyone's uniqueness and preferences, while nurturing their needs to thrive.

COMMUNICATION

My aptitude for communicating and making conversation can encourage other individuals to be as open with me as I am with them. I find pleasure from actively participating in conversations as long as group members propose ideas, seek solutions, or debate issues. Being able to put friends or strangers at ease occurs naturally.

BELIEF

I choose to live my life in a way that benefits individuals or groups and my core values influence how I spend my time and use my talents. I am driven by helping individuals claim their strengths or recognize their untapped potential and seeing their confidence grow is rewarding for me.
